A session at your pace

I’m Arbo, a photographer and filmmaker working between Tallinn and Tromsø. I combine wide views with close portraits, giving gentle direction when it helps and leaving room for unplanned moments. You do not need experience in front of a camera. There is time to walk, settle into a place and be together.

From the city to the fjords

A session can follow the lines of Tromsø’s wooden buildings and waterfront, or move into the open coast and mountains. We choose the general area around the season, available light and how far you would like to walk. The exact route stays flexible when weather and road conditions change.

Before or after the wedding

Pre-wedding and after-wedding sessions give you time for portraits without a ceremony-day schedule. Bring wedding clothes, something more understated, or both. These are portrait commissions rather than wedding-day coverage. For vows or a ceremony, explore my elopement or wedding work.

Photography, with room for film

Photography and a short film can be planned together for selected sessions. Wind, movement and the sound of the place can become part of the story. We agree on the photographic and film coverage before booking.

Planning your session

Private day commissions start at €1,000. Night commissions start at €1,650. The quote depends on the date, duration, locations and whether you would like film coverage. Finished photographs are delivered in a private online gallery.

Transport is separate and is not included in the photography fee. You may use your own or rental vehicle, travelling between locations in separate vehicles, or book licensed private transport directly with a provider. I can recommend a provider and coordinate the photography route.

A signed agreement and booking retainer secure the commission. Delivery details, the remaining balance and cancellation or rescheduling terms are confirmed in your individual agreement.

A few practical questions

Do we need a special occasion?

No. You can book a couple session simply because you are visiting Tromsø together. Engagements, anniversaries, pre-wedding and after-wedding portraits are welcome too.

We are not used to being photographed. Is that a problem?

Not at all. I offer gentle direction and plan the session at your pace, with time to walk and become comfortable rather than moving through a rigid list of poses.

Can we combine city portraits and landscapes?

Often, yes. We agree on the general area and duration first, then plan a route that makes sense for the light, distances, weather and your comfort. Not every location will fit into every session.

Can our session include the Northern Lights?

Northern Lights portraits can be planned as a night commission. They are not an automatic addition to a daytime session. The aurora cannot be guaranteed, and night plans need flexibility in timing and location.

When are you in Tromsø?

I am usually based in Tromsø from September to March, with availability varying through the season. Send your preferred dates or date range when you enquire.
