TROMSØ · WINTER · PHOTO + FILM
Dana & Dylan
A private mountaintop elopement after a quiet hike, with vows above the snow-covered landscape and photography and film created together.
ELOPEMENTS · TROMSØ AND BEYOND
Intimate elopements documented through photography, film or both. I plan the coverage around the people, place and conditions of the day, with practical guidance on locations, timing and a workable backup. Tromsø is my winter base, and I also travel for selected elopements elsewhere in Norway and beyond.
THE DAY
An elopement can be a private ceremony for two or a small gathering with a few people close to you. It may take place in town, beside a fjord, in a quiet interior or after a short walk into the landscape.
The photography follows the day rather than turning it into a long portrait session. I guide when it helps, then leave room for vows, movement, weather and the parts that do not need direction.

PHOTO + FILM
Photography and a short film can be made together as one commission. Still photographs hold detail and sequence. Film keeps movement, changing weather and spoken vows.
Both are planned as one account of the day, so the elopement does not become two separate productions.

PLACE

In Tromsø, low seasonal light, snow and changing Arctic conditions shape the work. I also photograph elopements elsewhere in Northern Norway, across Norway and for selected destination commissions.
The place does not need to be remote or difficult to reach. What matters is that it fits the two of you and remains practical for the season, access and pace of the day.

PLANNING
Before the date, we agree on the shape of the day, the coverage, general locations, timing, access and a realistic alternative. I can advise on light, weather, movement between places and what can be photographed or filmed within the available time.
My role covers the photography and film plan. Legal arrangements, ceremony administration and other suppliers are organised separately. Where useful, I can coordinate the visual plan with your planner, celebrant or local partners.
COVERAGE
The commission may centre on a private ceremony and portraits, or continue through preparations, several locations, a meal, changing light and a short film. The scope is built around what is actually happening rather than a fixed list of photographs.
Elopements are quoted individually according to duration, location, number of people, travel and film coverage. Transport, accommodation, permits and third-party services are quoted or arranged separately where required.
HOW IT WORKS
01
Share your preferred date or date range, the place you are considering, the number of people and whether you are interested in photography or photography with a short film.
02
We agree on the pace of the day, the ceremony, general locations, travel and the moments that matter to you.
03
Timing and movement are refined around light, access, weather and a practical alternative.
04
A small preview is normally prepared first. The complete gallery and film delivery schedule is confirmed for the individual commission.
PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
Yes. I can recommend the general area and help assess light, access, privacy, weather and the pace of the day. For destinations I do not know first-hand, the required location research and local coordination are agreed as part of the commission.
No. An elopement can take place in town, at your accommodation, beside a road-accessible fjord or after a walk or hike. The level of access is agreed around you rather than treated as a test.
Yes. I photograph private ceremonies for two and small elopements with a few people close to you. Share the expected number early because it affects the location, timing and coverage.
Yes. Photography and a short film can be created together through one visual plan. They can also be commissioned separately.
Yes. I work between Tallinn and Tromsø and travel for selected elopements elsewhere in Norway and internationally. Travel and accommodation are quoted separately where required.
The timing, location, pace or backup may be adjusted when conditions change. Safety and a real day together matter more than forcing one predetermined viewpoint.
They may be included as a separate, weather-dependent extension when the date, location and schedule allow. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, so the elopement itself should not depend on them appearing.
Legal paperwork, the officiant, permits and other suppliers are organised separately unless a specific partner service is included in the individual proposal. I can coordinate the photography and film timing with your planner or celebrant.
Transport is not included in the photography or film fee. In the Tromsø region, clients may use their own or rental vehicle, or book licensed private transport separately. For work elsewhere, travel logistics are defined in the individual proposal.
A signed agreement and booking retainer are required to secure the date. The remaining balance and all cancellation or rescheduling terms are confirmed in the individual agreement.
