Elopement photography and film in Tromsø
Photography, film or both for an intimate elopement. I help you choose locations, plan the timing and prepare a backup for changing conditions. Tromsø is my winter base, and I also travel for selected elopements elsewhere in Northern Norway, across Norway and abroad.

Your elopement day
An elopement can be a private ceremony for two or a small gathering with a few people close to you. It can take place in town, beside a fjord, indoors or after a short walk.
I photograph the day as it unfolds, giving guidance when you need it and leaving time for your vows and for each other. The photographs include the landscape and weather as you experience them.

Two records of the same day.
You can book photography and a short film together. Photographs preserve the details and individual moments; film brings back the movement, changing weather and the sound of your vows.
I plan the photography and filming together so both fit naturally into your day.

In Tromsø, I photograph elopements in low seasonal light, snow and changing Arctic weather. I also work elsewhere in Northern Norway, across Norway and on selected destination elopements abroad.
We choose a place that suits you both, taking the season, access and the pace of the day into account. It can be somewhere easy to reach.
PLANNING
Planning your day
We agree on the general locations, timing, access and coverage in advance, including travel between places and a backup plan. I advise on light and weather and help you work out what can comfortably be photographed or filmed within the available time.
My role covers the photography and film plan. Legal arrangements, ceremony administration and other suppliers are organised separately. Where useful, I can coordinate the visual plan with your planner, celebrant or local partners.
COVERAGE
Coverage follows the day.
The coverage can include just your private ceremony and portraits, or preparations, several locations, a meal and photographs in different light. A short film can be included too. We decide what to cover based on your plans for the day.
Elopements are quoted individually according to duration, location, number of people, travel and film coverage. Transport, accommodation, permits and third-party services are quoted or arranged separately where required.

We agree on the pace of the day, the ceremony, general locations, travel and the moments that matter to you.

I prepare the plan
I adjust the timing and travel between locations to the light, access and weather, with a backup plan if needed.

You receive the finished work
I normally send a small preview first. The delivery schedule for the complete gallery and any film is agreed for each booking.
PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
Before you enquire
Can you help us choose a location?
Yes. I can recommend the general area and help assess light, access, privacy, weather and the pace of the day. For destinations I do not know first-hand, the required location research and local coordination are agreed as part of the commission.
Do we need to hike?
No. An elopement can take place in town, at your accommodation, beside a fjord you can reach by road, or after a walk or hike. We choose places that suit you and how much you want to walk.
Can we include a few guests?
Yes. I photograph private ceremonies for two and small elopements with a few people close to you. Share the expected number early because it affects the location, timing and coverage.
Can photography and film be combined?
Yes. You can book photography and a short film together or separately. When you choose both, I plan them together.
Do you photograph elopements outside Tromsø?
Yes. I work between Tallinn and Tromsø and travel for selected elopements elsewhere in Norway and internationally. Travel and accommodation are quoted separately where required.
What happens if the weather changes?
If conditions change, we can adjust the timing, location or pace, or use the backup plan. Your safety comes first.
Can we plan for the Northern Lights?
They may be included as a separate, weather-dependent extension when the date, location and schedule allow. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, so the elopement itself should not depend on them appearing.
Do you arrange the legal ceremony or other suppliers?
Legal paperwork, the officiant, permits and other suppliers are organised separately unless a specific partner service is included in the individual proposal. I can coordinate the photography and film timing with your planner or celebrant.
Is transport included?
Transport is not included in the photography or film fee. In the Tromsø region, clients may use their own or rental vehicle, or book licensed private transport separately. For work elsewhere, travel logistics are defined in the individual proposal.
How do we secure the date?
A signed agreement and booking retainer are required to secure the date. The remaining balance and all cancellation or rescheduling terms are confirmed in the individual agreement.
