Pedro and Gil’s proposal was photographed at a lakeshore in the Tromsø region beneath active northern lights. The sequence opens with wide views of the aurora, shoreline and surrounding landscape before moving closer to the couple and the warm light of the fire.
The proposal is shown within the full scale of the landscape, followed by a closer detail of their hands. Portraits made afterwards shift between closer and wider views while keeping the aurora and shoreline central to the setting.
The same event was also documented in a short cinematic film, bringing movement and sound to the proposal and the surrounding night landscape.
