G & A’s wedding

G&A married at Tromsø City Hall, Rådhuset, in March 2026, with two witnesses present. Their ceremony lasted around half an hour before we headed out for photographs around the city and in the surrounding winter landscape.

We travelled together between locations, making portraits in Tromsø’s streets and outside the Arctic Cathedral before continuing into snowy woodland and onto mountain slopes. The cathedral’s sharp architectural lines gave way to trees, snow and open views. Within the same afternoon, the photographs moved between the city and the quieter landscape beyond it.

We were fortunate with the weather. It was a dry March day, with the sun appearing at times and already bringing a noticeable warmth. Snow still covered the ground, but there was a hint of spring in the air and the feeling of a new beginning.

Everything followed the plan, so there was no need to change our route. Had strong winds or a storm arrived, the alternative would have been to spend more time in the city and indoors. On this occasion, that remained a backup rather than part of the day.

We finished the evening at the bar at The Dock, the hotel where G&A were staying. From the ceremony to those final photographs, the coverage lasted five hours. For their day, that felt just right: time for the wedding itself, several different portrait settings and a relaxed finish back at their hotel.
