Cloud covered Tromsø as we set out to find a clear sky for Alex’s proposal. The search led to the only opening we could find, with thick cloud all around and low fog close by.

At the right time, in the right place, the sky opened above us. The northern lights appeared, and Alex had his moment to ask.

The photographs bring us back to the snowy shoreline: the two of them together, green light overhead, and clouds still gathered along the horizon.
